Magazine Research...
For my music magazine I want it to be a rock and pop genre, mainly focusing on newer artists who are "on the scene" at that particular time.
I want my target audience to be people who listen to this kind of music and that are interested in television and movies too.
These are some magazines that have given me inspiration and who would be a competitor for my magzine:
Q Magazine

Q is a music magazine published monthly in the UK.
It was first published in 1986 Publisher, Bauer Media Group.
This magazine focuses on Rock and Pop music. It features new musical releases, music compilations, film and live concert reviews, it also includes radio and television reviews. The magazine mostly covers interviews with popular music artists.
Rolling Stone

Rolling Stone is a magazine published every two weeks in the US and UK.
It was first published in 1967. Publisher, Jann Wenner.
This magazine is devoted to music, liberal politics and popular cultures. It also includes television shows, movie actors and popular music.
NME

NME (New Musical Express) is weekly music magazine published in the UK.
It was first published in 1952. Publisher, Tracy Cheesman.
This magazines genre is rock and pop.
NME was first published as a newspaper, it was the first British paper to include a singles chart and in the 1970s it became the best-selling British music newspaper. The format change to magazine came about in the 1980s.

Music Magazine Sales...
As music magazine sales are dropping I found it difficult to purchase them.
It was either that the shop did not sell music magazines or that they were not displayed well because not a lot of people buy them anymore.
I also noticed a lack of choice when about to purchase a magazine.
I found that most shops had Kerrang!, Rolling Stone, Q and NME, other magazines were not so popular.
